Mt. Greylock, Massachusetts

Mount Greylock is the highest point in Massachusetts, where hikers, campers, and pilots all come for the same thing—the view. Launch beneath the Veterans War Memorial Tower and the Berkshires quickly unfold below, with Vermont and New York sharing the horizon on a clear day. The broad summit, boreal forest, and Appalachian Trail give Greylock a character unlike any other launch in the Northeast.

Fly it well, then linger awhile. This is one of those places that's every bit as memorable on the ground as it is from the air.
