Collection: Milk Hill, Wiltshire

Milk Hill is one of the UK’s most historic cross-country sites, sitting above the Vale of Pewsey in southern England. The broad chalk ridge faces south to southeast and produces reliable thermals through spring and summer. On strong days, climbs can reach base quickly, and transitions north toward Marlborough or west toward Devizes are common. XC potential is exceptional, with several national distance records originating here. The large grassy takeoff and open landing options make it suitable for most pilot levels, though conditions can get lively mid-day.
