The west-facing dune launch works best in steady onshore sea breezes, creating smooth ridge lift ideal for toplanding and playful flying. Pilots often skim low over the sand, practice kiting, or enjoy sunset flights along the 2.7 km dune. Thermals are rare, but the site is legendary for its freedom and ocean views. Wind strength and tide affect launch quality, and summer can be busy, but it remains one of the most unique flying sites in the world.
