 The Forclaz south launch offers consistent thermals, often crowded with schools and tandems. Pilots can ridge along Montmin or push cross-country toward La Tournette and the Bauges range. Early in the day, katabatic winds funnel off the lake, but afternoons deliver booming climbs and long XC potential. The glass-off flights over the turquoise waters of Lake Annecy are unforgettable, making this site both a beginner’s dream and a veteran’s playground.
